Nazarenes believe they can
make a difference in this world.
Recent and current mission
projects include:

  • Raising funds to build a ministry centre in Bangladesh.
  • Collecting schoolbooks for children in Swaziland.
  • Helping to support a sister church in San German, Cuba (see photo below).
  • Support of Operation Christmas Child, a project administered by Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian aid group. Gift-filled shoe boxes are delivered to poor children around the world. In 2014, the Newmarket Church of the Nazarene collected 1,138 gift boxes that were distributed to children in Costa Rica, Haiti and Ukraine. In 2010, the Pastor's wife, Pamela Taylor, travelled with other Canadian volunteers to deliver boxes to children in Uruguay.
  • Financial support of the mission work of the international church, which has 702 missionaries and volunteers serving around the world. The global church operates 33 medical clinics and hospitals worldwide as well as 13 liberal arts institutions in Africa, Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean, Korea and
    the United States, plus five graduate seminaries, 32 undergraduate Bible/theological colleges, three nurses-training colleges and a teachers college.
